In Favor of the Right to Bear Arms

My right to keep and bear arms includes a Springfield XD Service Model. It has a smooth trigger pull and is quite accurate past 100 feet. Remember, a gun is like a credit card - don't leave home without it.

My son asked me today about the differences in political ideologies between fascists and communists. In our discussion, I pointed out that both ideologies produced totalitarian states where the government controlled nearly every aspect of peoples lives. I also pointed out that our Constitution embedded in it the 2nd Amendment to protect the people from its government.

Let's not forget that this right to keep and bear arms is for the protection of the individuals in the United States, not the least of which is protection from a government that has overgrown its authority and tries to deny the freedom and liberties of its people.
