Info Post

With your kind indulgence, I'd like to post some of my photos from time to time with short annotations of techniques and insights. If photography isn't your thing, then please visit my site when I dish out my usual snark.

Last spring, I took a driving tour through the Arizona desert, up the Apache Trail toward Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flat. The Goldfield Mine Ghost Town is a funny little town, with a fake mine tour, a restaurant, and an old-time western bordello tour.

This particular image comes from the tower over the mine. The lines and symmetry caught my attention. I was unsatisfied with the original photo, however. It wasn't until I applied the false color in Photoshop and added the vignette edge that the photo came alive to me.

This now hangs as a fine art print in an office in Arizona.
