Info Post
The days of real education are numbered.

Let's play the "What's wrong with this scenario" game!TM

Ashley Smithwick, a 17 year-old from Sanford, NC was suspended when school administrators, who were randomly searching through lunchboxes, found a paring knife in Ashley's lunchbox. The lunchbox and paring knife, belonged to Ashley's father, who put the paring knife in his lunchbox to eat an apple. The two lunchboxes were mixed up and Ashley got her father's lunchbox and accidentally took the paring knife to school (WRAL).

Because the school has a zero tolerance rule for carrying weapons on campus, Ashley was suspended for the remainder of the year.

Did you spot what's wrong with this scenario?

Right! Ashley was not also put on the no-fly list, and sent to Guantanamo as a potential terrorist. The school also was at fault for not implementing sufficient safeguards such as backscatter scans, strip searching, and guard dogs to help keep the other students safe from such blatant violators who insist on taking weapons to school. Janet Napolitano needs to be replaced at the Department of Homeland Security for dereliction of duty in not protecting our schools from such little Eichmanns, and we obviously need to press Congress to implement more stringent laws to keep paring knives off the streets.

I just won't feel safe until we fix the broken school system.
